MWS Consent Decree/OAP Management
Team member on contract to manage Metro Nashville’s Overflow Abatement Program.CIA Engineers is a member of the multidisciplinary team providing program management services to Metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County’s Water Services Department (Metro Water Services) to address combined sewer and sanitary sewer overflows via Metro’s Clean Water Nashville Overflow Abatement Program (Program). In 2009 Metro Water Services entered into a Consent Decree with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) to eliminate or reduce wet-weather overflows from both the separate and combined sewer systems. The CDM Smith/AECOM team was selected to provide overall Program management in coordination with Metro Water Services. CIA Engineers is playing an important role on that team.
CIA Engineers’ tasks include providing Consent Decree compliance and reporting services to the Program Controls Team; providing design guidelines and standards services, permitting expertise and guidance, and project set design coordination services to the Design Management Team; and providing other services, expertise, and training, as required.
